CHAP. 241.

all roads heretofore laid out and surveyed in Allegany
county as public roads, where the requisitions of the
existing laws have not been complied with by the com-
missioners appointed so to lay out and open said road or
roads, and which have been approved of and confirmed
by Allegany county court, be, and the same are hereby
declared valid and binding, to all intents and purpo-
ses, as if such requisitions were fully followed and
complied with as regards the width and other provi-

sions of said law, and that the said road shall be con-
sidered thirty feet in width.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all roads hereafter to
be made, laid out or surveyed, shall not be less than
thirty, feet, and not more than forty feet in width, at
the option of the commissioners; and that such width be
so returned by the said commissioners appointed to
lay out and survey such road or roads.

An act for the benefit of the Trustees of the Catholic
Cathedral Church of Baltimore.

Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, John Charles Francis Chirac, late of
the city of Baltimore, deceased, by his last will and
testament in writing, and now of record, in the office
of the register of wills for Baltimore county, devised
and bequeathed, the rest and residue of his estate, con-
sisting in part of a lease-hold interest in a lot of ground
fronting on Barre street, in the said city, unto the
Trustees of the Catholic Cathedral Church, of Balti-
more aforesaid; and whereas, the trustees of said church
have, by their petition to this General Assembly, set
forth, that the said John Charles Francis Chirac left
no known heirs or distributees; and the said trustees
have petitioned to be permitted to take the said legacy
and bequest: — Therefore,

SECTION 1. Be if enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Trustees of the Catholic Cathedral
Church of Baltimore aforesaid, be, and they are here-
by permitted, authorised and empowered to receive and
take the estate and property so devised and bequeathed
