An act to divorce Eliza Harding, of Dorchester county,
from her husband, Matthew Harding.

Divorce.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Eliza Harding of Dorchester county, be, and
she is hereby declared to be, divorced from her hus-
band, Matthew Harding, a mensa et thoro.

A supplement to an act, entitled an act to prohibit the
owners of Vessels, and others, from navigating the
same, by and under the sole command of Negroes or
Mulattoes, passed at December session, eighteen hun-
dred and thirty-six, chapter one hundred and fifty.

Act extended to
cases of hired
vessels.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the provisions of the act to which this is a supple-
ment shall apply to any person or persons owning in
whole or in part, or having hired in whole or upon
shares, any schooner, sloop, or other vessel registered,
enrolled or licensed, under the laws of the United States;
and if any such owner or owners, or other person or per-
sons, of any such schooner, sloop or other vessel, shall
cause the same to be navigated contrary to the provis-
ions of the said act, or of this act, such schooner, sloop
or other vessel, together with all her tackle, apparel

and furniture, or the value thereof, shall be forfeited,
and disposed of, according to the provisions of the
|
|
|
Baltimore and
Anne Arundel
exempted.
|
said act; provided, that the citizens of Anne Arundel
and Baltimore counties, be and they are hereby de-
clared to he exempt from the operation and effect of
this act.
