Sheriff's com-
mission for col-
lection of fees.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act it shall and
may be lawful for the sheriff of Caroline county to charge
and receive from all officers and attorneys who may
choose to require of the sheriff to collect for them any
officers or attorneys fees, a commission of twelve and a
half per cent on the amount of fees that may be so collect-
ed, instead of the commission heretofore allowed in such
cases.

A supplement to the act passed at December session
eighteen hundred and thirty-eight, chapter three hun-
dred and twenty-three, entitled an act in aid of the con-
struction of a State Armory and Town Hall in the City
of Baltimore, and the rebuilding and improvement of the
Hanover Market House in said City.

Release from li-
ability, &c.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That upon the resignation of Solomon Hillen, Junior, as
one of the original commissioners named in the act to
which this is a supplement, and upon the appointment of a
person to fill said vacancy and his giving bond in the man-
ner prescribed in said act, the said Solomon Hillen, Junior,
shall be and he is hereby released and discharged from all
future responsibility or liability for or on account of the
said bonds heretofore executed by him as one of the com-
missioners aforesaid.
