ACKNOWLEDGEMENT, &c. OF DEEDS, &c.

IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES— Consuls and Vice Con-

suls duly appointed, authorised to receive

acknowledgements, in writing, of citizens

of the United States or other persons, be-

ing in districts of their Consulates, of deeds

of conveyance, &c. touching real estate or

other property, &c. situate in any part of

this Stale, belonging to said parties, &c.

and the certificates of said Consuls, &c. un-

der their official seals, shall be good as evi-
dence of the execution of such deeds, &c.

so as to authorise the clerk of any county

court in this State to record the other instru-

ments, &c. provided such deeds, &c. shall

be recorded within six months from the date

of their acknowledgements, &c., and fur-

ther, that as against creditor, &c. without
notice, the said deeds, &c. shall only avail

from the time of their being so recorded,

Not to be construed to apply to last wills

and testaments, or instruments of writing in

the nature of last wills, &c.

ACTS OF ASSEMBLY— The acts that expired with the

session of the last General Assembly, ex-

cept such parts as have been repealed, revi-
ved, &c. and declared to be in force, &c. in

the same manner as if they bad been con-

tinued at the last session, &c.
