1839.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said company and
their successors, by the aforesaid name, shall forever there-
after be able and capable in law, to sue and be sued, plead
and be impleaded, answer and be answered, defend and
be defended, in all or any court of justice whatever; and
also to have, make and use a common seal, and the same

to break, alter and renew at pleasure; and to assemble and
meet at such places and times as they may agree upon,
and to ordain, establish and put in execution such by-
laws, ordinances and regulations as to them shall seem
conducive to the interest of the said company, and neces-
sary to the good government and orderly management
thereof, the same not being contrary to the laws of this
State, or of the United States; and generally to do and
execute all such acts, matters and things as to them shall
or may appertain to do.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That all fines which shall

linquencies or mal-conduct of any member or members,
shall be sued for and recovered in the same manner as
other small debts are now collected.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That nothing herein con-
tained shall be so construed as to authorise or empower
said corporation to issue any note, certificate, token, or
evidence of debt, to be used as currency; and the right is
hereby expressly reserved to the General Assembly of
Maryland, at its pleasure, to alter, amend or annul this act
of incorporation.

An act to incorporate the Trustees of Smith's Meeting
House in Prince George's county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Michael B. Carroll, Robert M. Fourlin,
John Burk, Hugh Perrie, Edward S. Perrie, and James
Naylor of Jas. of Prince Georges county, and their suc-
cessors, be, and they are hereby created and declared to
be a body politic and corporate, by the name and style of
Trustees of Smith's Meeting House.
