An act to make valid a Deed from William Ryan and
Wife, to Michael C. Sprigg.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the deed of conveyance or instrument of writing
made and executed on the twenty-fifth day of June, eigh-
teen hundred and thirty-nine, by William Ryan and Re-
becca his wife, of Pendleton county, in the State of Vir-
ginia, to Michael C. Sprigg, of Allegany county, in the
valid and effectual to all intents and purposes, as if said
deed or instrument of writing, had been in all respects ac-
knowledged according to the laws heretofore existing for
the taking of acknowledgments of deeds out of the State
of Maryland.

An act for the relief of the Sheriff of Carroll County.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the sheriff of Carroll county shall be entitled to re-
ceive twenty-five cents per day for the maintenance of eve-
ry prisoner who shall be committed to his custody upon
criminal process, in lieu of the sum now allowed by
law.
