An act to exempt from taxation the property of the Protes-
tant Episcopal Churches, in Calvert County.
|
|
|
Exempt from
county taxes.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the property of the Protestant Episcopal Churches in
Calvert county, be and the same is hereby released from
the payment of county taxes, any law to the contrary not-
withstanding.

An act for the benefit of the Crier of Carroll County
Court.
|
|
|
Compensation
of crier.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the crier of Carroll county court shall be entitled to
receive one dollar, in addition to his fees, for each day he
shall attend upon the session of said court, and that the
same be levied upon the assessable property of said coun-
ty, and paid as other county charges.

An act to make valid the Proceedings therein mentioned.
|
|
|
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assembly,
that David G. Odell, late sheriff of Worcester county,
failed to give bond for the last two years of his sheriffalty,
without any fault of his, and that he acted as sheriff du-
ring those years notwithstanding the absence of such
bonds.
|
|
|
Acts made va-
lid.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That all acts done by the said David G. Odell, in his said
office of sheriff of Worcester county, during the years for
which he failed to give bond according to law, shall be
and they are hereby declared as valid and effectual as if the
said David G. Odell had executed bonds according to the
act of Assembly in such case made and provided.
