The sum of $3085 94, drawn in Au-

gust last, apportioned, £655. to Halls'

cross road district; S655, to Bel Air dis-

trict $680, to Marshals district, $630,

to Dublin district, and $415 94, to Ab-

ingdon district,

School commissioners to be elected in

Oct. next, shall meet and distribute said

sums to the teachers of their respective

districts, entitled to have received the

same July 1838,

If a surplus remains, the restriction as

to having taught school six months im-

mediately preceeding, dispensed with, as

to such surplus,

Teachers shall not be required to re-

fund any monies received by them before

the passage of this act,

Adjourned meetings of commissioners

authorised,

Compensation limited in such case,

persons who under any former law have

received school monies of, and have not

fully and lawfully distributed and ac-

counted for the same to the orphans'

court, shall forthwith account and pay

over balance.

to the district for which it was original-

In like manner all monies in hands of
