Mining Companies,

Whenever hereafter any joint stock

companies shall he incorporated for the

purpose of manufacturing, exploring, or
mining for gold, coal, coper, iron &c.,

such companies shall he established

with the rights, privileges, rules, regu-

lations, and restrictions herein provided,

Shall have power under their corpo-

rate name to sue and be sued, use a com-

mon seal, hold the real estate specified in

their special act, and personal property.
for the purpose of conducting the oppo-

rations of the company,
