CHAPTER 389.

An act to incorporate the Mining and Manufacturing
Company of Hibernia.

Persons incorporat-

ed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland. That Richard Caton, Charles F. Mayer,
John Thomas, Mary Ann Wellesley, by her trustees,
and such other persons as may be. hereafter associated
with them, shall be, and they are hereby incorporated
and made a body politic and corporate, under the. name

and style of the Mining and Manufacturing Company
of Hibernia, for the purpose of mining and manufac-
turing in the counties of Washington and Allegany, of
iron, coal and other minerals, of vending the same and
making rail ways on their own lands, and other means
of communication to and from their work, and the
prosecution of all such other operations as may grow
out of, or be connected with the said business, and the
said corporation, under the name and style of the
Mining and Manufacturing Company of Hibernia, is
hereby invested with all the rights and privileges and

titled, an act prescribing general regulations for the
incorporation of manufacturing and mining companies,
passed the twenty-eighth day of March, eighteen hun-
dred and thirty-nine, and the said company is hereby-
made subject to the restrictions and regulations pre-
scribed in said act.

Capital stock.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the capital stock of
said company shall not be less than five thousand dol-
lars, nor more than five hundred thousand dollars, to
be divided into shares of one hundred dollars each, and
raised by subscription, and that the said company shall
