proper so to contract for, or they may purchase, build
or rent another house for that district, which shall Ire
under the control of the trustees of that district; pro-
vided, that in no district shall there he expended more
than shall he apportioned to that district for that year.

herewith repealed.

Sec. 11. And belt enacted, That all acts or parts of
acts, inconsistent with the provisions of this act, be,
and the same are hereby repealed.

An act relating to the State Tobacco Warehouse, Num-
ber Three, in the City of Baltimore.

Landing of Lum-
ber on wharf
prohibited.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly 'of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act,
it shall not be lawful for any owner or skipper of any
boat or boats, to land any wood or lumber, on the
wharf in the City of Baltimore, lying opposite to the
|
|
|
Penalty.
|
State Tobacco Warehouse, number three, and any per-
son or persons so offending shall forfeit and pay fop
every such violation of this act, the sum of ten dollars,
to be collected by the State wharfinger having charge
of the aforesaid wharf, as all such forfeitures are now
by him collected; and it shall be the duty of said wharf-

inger to pay over the monies arising from all such
fines as he is now directed by law to do; provided,
that a notice shall he first served upon said owner or
skipper, previous to his landing any wood or lumber
as aforesaid, of the provisions of this law.

acts inconsistent with the provisions of this act so far
as relates to the wharf aforesaid, be and the same are
hereby repealed.
