CHAP 371.
And dividend.
|
to the contributors of the cash capital as aforesaid, or
their representatives, a dividend of seven per cent per
annum on the stock so subscribed by them, and the
residue of said profits shall belong to and be distri-
buted to and amongst the said Swann and Iglehart, and
their representatives, in proportion to their interests
in the capital stock representing the real estate, sub-
scribed by them, under the provisions of this act.

as a Hotel.

Sec. 10. And be it enacted. That the company shall
not be at liberty to carry on the business of tavern
keeping on said buildings, but shall simply rent or
lease the premises aforesaid for the purpose of an ho-
tel or tavern, or such other purpose or purposes as the
interest of the company may require.

Permission to pur-
chase stock.
|
Sec. 11. And be it enacted, That the said Richard
Swann and James H. Iglehart and the survivor of them,
shall have the power of purchasing out the stock held
by the other stockholders, at the par or nominal value
thereof, upon giving at least twelve months notice of
their intention so to do, to the said stockholders.

Limitation.
|
Sec. 12. And be it enacted, That this act may be re-
pealed by the Legislature at any time after the expi-
ration of fifteen years from the day of the passage
thereof, and upon the dissolution of the company, the
property and effects of the said company shall be sold,
and the proceeds thereof distributed rateably amongst
all of the stockholders thereof.

Worcester County, into School Districts, and for other
purposes.

ed.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland. That the Levy Court, or commissioners, of
Worcester county, are hereby authorised and required
at their first meeting, ensuing the first day of April
eighteen hundred and thirty-nine, and annually there-
after, to appoint five discreet sensible men, in said
county, who in their judgment are well qualified for
the performance of the duties herein imposed, who
