CHAPTER 355.

An act to incorporate the Lime Company of Vienna, in
Dorchester County.
|
|
|
Company incorpo-
rated.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a joint stock company for the purpose
of burning Lime, may be established in, or near the
Town of Vienna, in Dorchester county, under the name
and style of the Lime Company of Vienna, and that
said company are hereby invested with all the rights
and privileges and powers, conferred upon such compa-

nies, by an act, entitled, "an act prescribing general
regulations for the incorporation of manufacturing
and mining companies" passed the twenty-eighth day
of March, eighteen hundred and thirty-nine, and that
said company are made subject to the restrictions and
regulations prescribed by said act.

Capital stock.
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the capital stock of
said company shall not be less than fifteen hundred
dollars, nor more than five thousand dollars, to be di-
vided into shares of twenty-five dollars each, and to be

raised by subscription, for which purpose books shall
be opened under the superintendance of Doct. William
Jackson, Charles Leary, John R. Martin, Samuel
Craft, at the town of Vienna, in said county, in con-
formity with the rules prescribed by the above recited
act.

Real estate.
|
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That the said com-
pany shall have the right to purchase and hold land,
in the vicinity of, or in said town of Vienna, not ex-
ceeding one acre.

|
In force.
|
Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall be in
force from the passage thereof.
