said, is hereby invested with all the rights, privileges
and powers conferred upon such companies, by an art,

incorporation of manufacturing and mining companies,
passed on the twenty-eighth day of March, eighteen
hundred and thirty-nine, and is also hereby made sub-
ject to the restrictions and regulations prescribed in
said act.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the capital stock of
said company shall not he less than four thousand dol-
lars, nor more than fifty thousand dollars, to be divid-
ed into shares of twenty dollars each, to be raised by
subscription, and that the said company shall have the
right to purchase and hold land, not exceeding eight
hundred acres, in Talbot county.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall he in
force from the passage thereof.

CHAPTER 348.

An act to incorporate the Rock Hall Silk Company, in
Kent County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That William B. Wilmer, Jacob Fisher,
Peregrine Burgess, Thomas Miller, Alexander W.
Ringgold, Joseph Harris and Hiram Jones, and all
such other persons as may be hereafter associated with
them, shall be, and they are hereby incorporated and
made a body politic and corporate, under the name and
style of the Rock Hall Silk Company, of Kent county,
and the prosecution of such other operations as may
grow out of, or be connected with the said business,
