CHAPTER 337.

1839.

An act relating to the Armories of this State.

Examiners to re-

port.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Governor be, and he is hereby authorised, at

competent persons, in the neighborhood of each of the
out and return to the Secretary of State, an accurate

inventory of the arms, ammunition and other public

property therein, together with the condition and value
of said arms, &c., and the persons so employed, shall

be entitled to two others each, for every day while

they shall be actually engaged on the duty aforesaid.

CHAPTER 338.

An act to incorporate, the Nottingham Silk Company, of
Prince George's County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Michael B. Carroll, Thomas Holland,
Walter B. C. Worthington, Henry M. Chew and
Urban Hollyday, and all such other persons as may
be hereafter associated with them, shall he, and they
are hereby incorporated and made a body politic and

corporate, under the name, and style of the Nottingham
Silk Company, for the purpose, of cultivating mulber-
ry trees, manufacturing and selling silk, and the pro-
secution of such other operations as may grow out of,
or be connected with the said business, and the said
corporation, under the name and style of the Notting-
ham Silk Company, is hereby invested with all the
rights and privileges and powers conferred upon such
companies by an act, entitled, an act prescribing gene-
ral regulations for the incorporation of manufacturing
and mining companies, passed on the 28th day of

March, eighteen hundred and thirty-nine, and the said

company is hereby made, subject to the restrictions and
regulations prescribed by said act.

Capital $50, 000.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the capital stock of
said company shall not be less than one thousand dol-
