CHAP. 266.
|
may be lawful for Ann L. Emory, to bring into this
State the following named slaves for life, to wit: —
|

Persons named.
|
George, aged about thirty-six years, Frederick, aged
about thirty-three years, Delise. aged about twenty-
six years, Tiney, aged about thirty years, William,
aged about eight years, John, aged about, four years,
Wesley, aged about three years, Mary, aged about two
years, Matthew, aged about four months, and Matilda,
aged three months, the property of the said Ann L.

Conditions.
|
Emory; provided, that within sixty days after such
removal, the said Ann L. Emory shall cause to be re-
corded in the office of the clerk of Queen Ann's county
court, the names of said negroes, slaves so removed;
provided the said Ann L. Emory shall pay to the clerk
of said county, for the use of the Maryland Coloniza-
tion Society, the sums required to be paid by the first
section of the act of December session, eighteen hun-
dred and thirty-three, chapter eighty-seven.

An act for the relief of the several religious denomina-
tions of Frederick County.
|

Exempt from tax.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the several parsonage houses of religious denomi-
nations, in Frederick county, shall hereafter be ex-
cepted from assessment for county and corporation
taxes.
