Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall and may be
lawful for the corporation to have a common seal, and
the same at their will and pleasure to change, alter
and make new, from time to time, as they may think
best, and shall in general have and exercise all such
rights, privileges and immunities as by law are inci-
dent to, or necessary for corporations of this character,
and to enable the members of the same to exercise all
things concerning the design thereof, which is hereby
declared to be the promotion and advancement of edu-
cation, the cultivation and diffusion of literature,
science and the arts in all their departments and facul-
ties, for the benefit of both sexes of all religious de-
nominations.

General powers.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the General Assem-
bly of Maryland hereby reserves the right to change,
alter or amend this act of incorporation at any time.
