An act to authorize Edward H. Pendleton to remove
into this State three Slaves.
|
|
|
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Edward H. Pendleton be, and he is hereby au-
thorized to remove into this State three negroes, slaves
for life; provided, that the said Edward H. Pendleton,
shall, within sixty days after such removal, file with
the clerk of Baltimore county, a statement in writing,
sworn to by the said Edward H. Pendleton, contain-
ing the age, sex, names and distinguishing marks of
said slaves, and shall also, within the time aforesaid,
pay to the said clerk forty-five dollars for the use of
the Maryland State Colonization Society, and that said
slaves are slaves for life.

An act to divorce Catharine Yustena Barron, of Balti-
more City, from her husband Joseph F. Barron.
|
|

Divorce.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Catharine Yustena Barron, of the city of Balti-
more, be, and she is hereby divorced from her husband
Joseph F. Barron, a vinculo matrimonii, and that the
said Catharine shall have the custody and guardian-
ship of the child which she has by her said husband.
