commissioner of loans for the State of Ma-

   

ryland, authoriized and directed to issue to,

   

or to his attorney, &c. certificates of the

   

State stock to the amount of $856,00, with

   

an interest of 5 pr. ct. in compensation

   

of injuiy done the lands of Philip Smith,

   

deceased, which amount was awarded, by

   

commissioners appointed to settle up the

   

affairs of the E. Shore Rail Road Co. with-

   

out said Smith or his attorney producing to

   

the commissioner of loans the certificates of

   

the amounts awarded, which have been mis-

   

laid lost or destroyed.

receive for printing notices of executors,

   

&c. more than one dollar for the three first

   

insertions of one square, and 25 cents for

   

every subsequent insertion beyond three

   

times, and further provided, that a square

   

shall be 16 lines or less, and all over 16

   

and less than 33, to be considered two

   

squares, and so in proportion.
