FARMER'S BANK OF MARYLAND.—Charter of,

   

and ils branches, extended to 1st January

   

1855, and to end of next General Assem-

   

bly thereafter,

Said bank and branches to pay annual-

   

ly, on 1st day of January, during contin-

   

uance of charter, to the Treasurer of the

   

Western Shore, 20 cents on every hundred

   

dollars, to be applied by Treasurer, to aug-

   

mention of free school fund &c , under pen-

   

alty of forfeiture for failure of payment, for

   

6 months after payable,

"

If provisions of this act be complied

   

with, charter to be renewed until 1855 &c,

   

and if they agree to accept &c, they are

   

required to transmit to the Executive a cer-

   

tificate of determination before 1st of June

   

1844,

Concerns of said bank and branches, at

   

all times to be subject to the inspection of

   

Treasurer &c. or of directors elected by

   

the State, who may be required to report by

   

either branch of the legislature,

Upon acceptance and compliance with

   

conditions &c, faith of the State pledged

   

not to impose any further burden &c. dur-

   

ing continuance &c, except such equitable

   

taxation as may be levied upon incorporated

   

banks &c.

to such restrictions in regard to issue of its

   

note and denomination as may be pre-

   

scribed by law &c, legislature reserves the

   

right to impose any general conditions,

   

which may hereafter be impossd on the

   

banks ol Baltimore,
