Benedict been acknowledged before them: —Therefore,
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That said deed be, and the same is hereby de-
clared to every effect, to be as valid and effectual, as if the
said justices of the peace had duly certified on said deed
the fact of their having taken the said Benedict Leonard
Hurst's acknowledgment of it, and as if said certificate had
been duly recorded with said deed, together also, with a
certificate according to law, of said justices being justices
duly commissioned and sworn, at the time of the making
of said acknowledgment

CHAPTER 24.

A further supplement to the act entitled, An act to Incor-
porate the Frederick-town Saving's Institution.

Section I Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That no certificates of weekly deposits in
the Frederick-town Saving's Institution, shall be transfer-
red on the books of said institution when the person holding
such certificate or certificates of weekly deposits, shall be
indebted to said Frederick-town Saving's Institution, as
principals upon any note held by said institution, at the
time such transfer shall be required to be made unless the
president and directors shall direct otherwise.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That no weekly de-
positor, and no person holding certificates of weekly de-
posits in said Saving's Institution, who heretofore has or
may hereafter obtain a stock loan, or a loan upon a pledge
of his certificates from said institution, shall transfer his
certificates of deposit until such loan, discount, or stock
note shall be paid, unless the president and directors shall
direct otherwise.
