nevertheless, that said John B. Seidenstriker, shall, on or
before the first day of March next, execute a bond to the
State of Maryland, in the penalty if fifty thousand dol-
lars, to be executed by himself and two sureities, and to
be approved of by the Treasurer of the western shore, or
else by the Mayor and Register of the city of Baltimore,
conditioned for the due collection and faithful application
of said arrearages of taxes, according to the direction and
provisions of this act; and provided further, that the ex-
ecution, approval of said board, and the delivery thereof
to said treasurer, shall be a condition precedent to the ex-

ercise of the power and authority conferred by this act.
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the time allowed for
the completion of the collection of taxes for the year
eighteen hundred and forty-one, shall be, and the same is
hereby extended to the first day of August eighteen hun-
dred and forty-four; and that the time allowed for the com-
pletion of the collection of taxes for the year eighteen
hundred and forty-two, shall be, and the same is hereby
extended to the first day of October, eighteen hundred
and forty-four, and that the time allowed for the comple-
tion of the collection of taxes for the year eighteen hun-
dred and forty-three, shall be, and the same is hereby ex-
tended to the first day of March eighteen hundred and
forty-five; provided nevertheless, that said collector shall
account monthly, in the mean time, for his actual collec-

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That for the services to be
performed by the said John B. Seidenstriker, under the
authority of this act, he shall be allowed the compensa-
tion prescribed in the acts under which the several assess-
ments were laid for the years aforesaid, and that he shall
be credited for insolvencies and removals as provided in
said acts.

An act to regulate Division Fences in Baltimore county.

Passed March
2, 1844.

Section. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act, in
all cases in which two or more persons shall agree to join
in making division fences between their respective lands,
and also in all cases in which division fences are now
made in pursuance of an agreement between the parties
