An act to authorize the Commissioners of Allegany county
to levy a sum of money for the purpose therein men-
tioned.

Authorised
to levy,

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of Allegany county; be, and they
are hereby authorized and required, to levy on the assessa-
ble property in said county, the sum of thirty dollars, and
to appropriate and pay over said amount to Richard Fair-
all, on account of expenses incurred by him in bringing
William S. Chrise, the murderer of Abraham Frey, to
justice.

 

CHAPTER 15,

15, 1844.

An act to confirm the proceedings of certain Commission-
ers and extend the time for making a road therein men-
tioned in Baltimore county.

Confirmed.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the proceedings of John Farmer and others, commis-
sioners appointed to locate, lay out and open a road from
Levi Hoffman's tavern, on the Frederick turnpike road,
three miles from the city of Baltimore, to the Rowling
road; and from thence to intersect said Frederick road,
again, at or near Ferdinand Smith's house, between five and
six miles from Baltimore city, be, and the same are hereby
confirmed and extended for six months of the passage of
this act; and the commissioners of Baltimore county are
hereby authorized and directed to levy on said county any
sum of money which in their judgment may be requisite
to keep said road in repair, and to appoint a supervisor
thereon, on or before the expiration of said six months.
