have power to alter and amend their bye-laws at pleasure;
provided they do not conflict with the laws of the State of
Maryland, the laws of the United States, or the laws of the

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That this act of incorpo-
ration shall enure for thirty years from its passage, and
that the Legislature reserves to itself the right to alter, and
annul this act of incorporation, at pleasure.

An act to confer additional powers upon the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, shall be,
and they are hereby invested with full power to receive in
trust, and to control for the purpose of such trusts, all
money or other property of whatsoever description which
may heretofore have been, or shall hereafter be bestowed
upon such corporation by will, deed or in any other form
of gift or conveyance in trust, for any of their general cor-
porate purposes, or in aid of the indigent a id poor, or for
the general purposes of education, or for charitable purpo-
ses of any description whatsoever, within the limits of the
city of Baltimore.
