Senate are extremely arduous, and in consideration of the
faithful discharge of their respective offices; and whereas,
it has been usual without exception, to pay to the said offi-
cers additional compensation—therefore,
Resolved by the General. Assembly of Maryland,
That the treasurer of the western shore be and he is here-
by directed to pay out of any appropriated money in the
treasury, to John Nick. Watkins, chief clerk of the House
of Delegates, and to Joseph H. Nicholson, chief clerk of
the Senate, the sum of one hundred dollars each; to Peter
Webb, assistant clerk of the House of Delegates, and to
John N. Watkins, assistant clerk of the Senate, the sum of
one hundred dollars each; and to Marcey Fountain, John B.
Henderson, V. H. Kalkman, Tillotson Janney, John P.
Milton, H. R. Bowie, committee clerks to the House of De-
legates, the sum of fifty dollars each; and to James C. Rey-
ner and J. N. Gordon, the committee clerks to the Senate,
the sum of fifty dollars each.

Resolution in favor of William Glover.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the treasurer of the western shore pay to William Glover
or order twenty-four dollars, for attendance in the Senate
six days as assistant doorkeeper during the present session.
