Report within
two years

general within thirty days after he shall swear or affirm as
aforesaid, be and the same is hereby repealed.
Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That if any officer of the
militia of this Stale, shall make a report to the adjutant
general at any time within two years from the last Monday
of November, lust as required by an act supplementary to
the several militia laws of this State, passed at December
session, eighteen hundred and forty, chapter two Hundred
and fifty-nine, the commission of such officer shall not be
revoked as provided by the act mentioned in this section.

 

CHAPTER 258.

An act to revive an act, entitled, an act to incorporate a
Company to make a Turnpike Road from the Town of
Westminster, in Frederick County, through Harmans
Gap to Hagerstown, in Washington County.

Act revived
and continued

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That an act passed at November session, eigh-
teen bundled and nine, entitled, an act to incorporate a com-
pany to make a turnpike road from the town of Westmin-
ster, in Frederick county, through Harmans Gap to Ha-
gerstown, in Washington county, together with the several
supplements thereto, be and they are Hereby revived and
continued in full force, and all the rights, powers and privi-
leges, given, granted, or conferred by the same, be and they
are hereby renewed and revived in their force and original
extent.

Ten years
extended etc

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the further term of ten
years from and after the passage of this act, be and the
same, is hereby granted and extended to the president, man-
agers and company of the Hagerstown Turnpike Road
Company, to complete the turnpike road from Westmin-
ster in Carroll county to Hagerstown in Washington
county.

Powers not
impaired.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That any omission heretofore
on the part of those entitled to vote, to elect a president,
managers and other officers of the said company as prescrib-
ed by the said original act, shall not in any degree or manner
affect the rights, powers, privileges and property of the
said company, but the same shall be and remain the same as
if elections for officers had been duly held and made agree-
ably to the provisions of the said original act, or any sup-
plements thereto.
