CHAP. 107
Proviso.

proved and attested according to law, and provided, that
in addition to the condition of Sheriff's bonds, prescri-
bed by the existing laws of this State, the bond to be given
in virtue of this act shall contain the following condition, to
wit: the further condition of this obligation is such, that
the above obligation shall not be null and void, unless the
above bound William H. Marshall shall, in all respects,
well and faithfully perform and execute all the duties pre-
scribed in the preceding condition to this obligation, and by
the existing laws of this State, in all cases of process,
which may have come to his hands between the expiration
of his bond as sheriff for the last year, and the date of this
obligation, as fully and completely as if this obligation
bore date anterior to his reception of such process, or his
receipt of money under color of his office as sheriff.

Bond to be re-
corded.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the clerk of Worcester
county court be, and he is hereby authorised and required
to receive and record the bond referred to in the preceding
section; provided, the same be in all respects in conformity
with the provisions of the existing law upon the subject of
sheriffs' bonds, and the provisions of this act.

An act to incorporate the Christ Church Assylum for Fe-
male Children.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, a number of ladies in the city of Baltimore,
desirous to afford to destitute female children the opportu-
nities of education and the means of support, have associa-
ted themselves for the establishment and maintenance of an
institution to be devoted to those ends, and for the promo-
tion of their purpose, have asked that a charter be granted,
them.

corporated.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Mrs. Gittings, Mrs. Wyman, Mrs. James
Howard, and Mrs. Jenkins, and all others, the ladies new
contributing, or hereafter to become contributors to the
Christ Church Assylum for Female Children, be and they
are hereby constituted and created a body politic and corpo-
rate by that name, and by the same name shall be and they
are hereby empowered to have and to use a commonweal,
to implead and to be impleaded, and to take and convey
lands, tenements, hereditaments, monies, goods and chat-
