CHAPTER 243.
An act to divorce Josephine Hawke, of the City of Anna-
polis, from her husband Richard James Hawke.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Josephine Hawke, of the city of Anna-
polis, be, and she is hereby divorced from her husband
Richard James Hawke, a mensa et thoro.
|
Divorced.

|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Josephine
Hawke shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges,
and subject to all the responsibilities of a feme sole, except
the privilege of marrying again during the life of her said
husband.

To act as feme
sole.
|

|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said Richard James
Hawke shall have no control over, or right to any proper-
ty acquired, or to be acquired by the said Josephine
Hawke, from and after the passage of this act; but all such
property shall enure to the sole use and benefit of the said
Josephine Hawke, just as if she had never been married.

her husband John Dukes.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Mary Dukes be and she is hereby divorced from her
husband John Dukes, a memo, et thoro.

An act to divorce Nancy A. Hughes, of Allegany County,
from her husband Robert H. Hughes.
|

1841.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Nancy Ann Hughes, of Allegany county,
be and she is hereby divorced from her husband Robert
H. Hughes, a vinculo matrimonii.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Nancy Ann
Hughes shall henceforth be called and known by her maid-
en name, Nancy Ann Unger.
