CHAP. 124.

CHAPTER 122.
An act to provide for the appointment of a Wood Corder in
the Town of Port Deposit, in Cecil County.
|
|
|
Governor shall
appoint a wood
corder.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Governor by the advice and consent
of the Senate, be and he is hereby required to appoint a
suitable person as Corder of Fire Wood, in Port Deposit
town, in Cecil county, whose duty it shall be when called
upon by any seller or purchaser of any firewood, to inspect
and measure the same forthwith, as he in his judgment may
think proper and just.

10 cents a cord
allowed him.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall be lawful for the
said Corder of fire wood, to charge and receive ten cents
for each and every cord of firewood which he may be call-
ed on to inspect and measure, to be paid by the purchaser,
and on neglect or refusal of the purchaser to pay the same,
the said Corder of firewood is hereby authorised to collect
the same as other small debts are collected.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That before proceeding to
act, the said inspector and measurer shall take an oath or
affirmation before some justice of the peace, for the faithful
discharge of the duties enjoined by this act

from her husband Joseph Peddicord.
|

Divorced.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Catharine Peddicord be and she is hereby divorced
from her husband Joseph Peddicord, a vinculo matrimonii.

any person now authorised, or who may be hereby autho-
rised to build a wharf on the west side of the Susquehanna
