jurisdiction of the several Courts in this State in cases relat-
ing to dependent or delinquent children.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

CHAPTER 371
(House Bill 464)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments. Sections
4 and 10 of Chapter 313 of the Acts of 1947, relating to
the terms of office of the Commissioners of Eldorado and
the powers of taxation of said Commissioners of Eldorado,
in Dorchester County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 4 and 10 of Chapter 313 of the Acts of
1947 be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

4. The terms of office of the present Commissioners of
Eldorado are hereby extended to the first Monday in May,
1949, or until their successors shall have been elected and
qualified. On the first Monday of May, 1949, the qualified
voters of said Town shall arrange by convention or otherwise
to hold an election in an ordinary and fair manner between
the hours of 6 o'clock P. M. and 9 o'clock P. M. and elect by
ballot three persons of integrity and sound judgment from
among their number to serve as Commissioners of said Town
for four years from that date, and until their successors shall
have been elected and qualified.

10. The Commissioners shall have full power to levy and
collect a tax on all property in said Town and for assess-
ment purposes the Commissioners shall accept the value
placed on such property by the State and county assessment.
It shall be the duty of the clerk to collect said tax and the
said clerk shall have the same power to enforce collection by
suit and execution as in the case of private debts and by
other process as Dorchester County Collectors have under
the laws of this State. The real and personal property
charged in the assessment books of the Town to any person
shall be bound for the taxes which may be levied on or
