CHAPTER 309

AN ACT to declare the sanction and consent of the General
Assembly of Maryland to sundry gifts, bequests and de-
vises contained in the Last Wills and Testaments of cer-
tain persons, deceased, and also to certain gifts, grants,
sales, leases and deeds made by various persons to and
for the use and benefit of sundry ministerial persons,
religious corporations, vestries, educational and charitable
institutions, churches, denominations or sects hereinafter
named.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the sanction and consent of said General
Assembly of Maryland be and the same is hereby declared,
given and granted to the following gifts, bequests, devises,
grants, sales, leases, conveyances and deeds, to and from
certain persons and bodies corporate to and for the use of
certain ministerial persons, religious and educational cor-
porations, orders, denominations and sects, and to certain
charitable institutions hereinafter named and hereinafter
set forth.

1. To the bequest of four-fifths of the residue to Zion
Reformed Church of Hagerstown, Maryland, as contained
in the last Will and Testament of Mary 0. Winter Smith,
deceased, taken from "Wills, " Liber 20, Folio 494, of the
record books in the office of the Register of Wills of Wash-
ington County.

2. To the following bequests contained in the last Will
and Testament of Cora M. Smith, deceased, taken from
"Wills, " Liber 20, Folio 498, of the record books in the office
of the Register of Wills of Washington County.

(a) Trinity Lutheran Church of Boonsboro, Mary-
land, sixteen (16) shares of stock in the Boonsboro Bank
of Boonsboro;

(b) Women's Missionary Society of the Maryland
Synod, United Lutheran Church, in America, of Baltimore
City, the rest and residue.

3. To the bequest of $5, 000. 00 to the First Brethren
Church, Corner Antietam and Mulberry Streets, Hagers-
town, Maryland, contained in the last Wills and Testament
of Anna M. Welty Fahrney, deceased, taken from "Wills, "
Liber 20, Folio 499, of the record books in the office of the
Register of Wills of Washington County.
