SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County
be and they are hereby authorized to make appropriations
for the making of studies and surveys of erosion in the
County and especially in the event that Federal moneys
shall be made available for this purpose. Any appropria-
tions made for this purpose shall be included in the regu-
lar County budget.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1949.

(Senate Bill 485)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
549 of the Anne Arundel County Code (1947 Edition,
being Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), eliminating the provision which limits the
expenses of the State's Attorney of Anne Arundel
County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 549 of the Anne Arundel County Code '(1947
Edition, being Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland), be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
549. The County Commissioners are hereby authorized
and directed to allow the State's Attorney the expenses
incurred by him in the conduct of his office, and in follow-
ing and trying criminal cases, and for the equipment of
his office, and said Commissioners shall levy annually a
sum sufficient to meet said expenses and to pay same
monthly.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1949.
