vided that this sub-section shall not be construed so as to
deprive the governing authorities of any State hospital
or training school of any defense, counterclaim or setoff
available to them in any such action at law or in equity,
brought within the aforesaid three year period, including
the defense of governmental immunity.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
effect June 1, 1949.

(Senate Bill 461)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tion 77 of Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester County, "
sub-title "Election Districts, " abolishing Election Dis-
trict No. 6 and dividing it between Election Districts
No. 2 and No. 7.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 77 of Article 24 of the Code of Public 'Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester Coun-
ty, " sub-title "Election Districts, " be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as fol-
lows:
77. Worcester County is divided into nine election dis-
tricts, and the said districts are named and numbered as
follows: Newton district, No. 1; Snow Hill district, No. 2;
East Berlin district, No. 3; Newark district, No. 4; St.
Martin's district, No. 5; Atkinson's district, No. 7; Stock-
ton district, No. 8; West Berlin district, No. 9; and Ocean
City district (No. 10) as created by Chapter 269 of the
Acts of 1933. Districts Nos. 1, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9 and 10 shall
retain their present bounds and limits. Coulbpurne's dis-
trict, No. 6 is abolished. All that part of said district lying
to the west of Nassawango Creek is hereby added to Dis-
trict No. 7, and all that part of District No. 6 lying to the
east of said Creek is hereby added to Election District
No. 2.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
effect June 1, 1949.
