for Judge of the Supreme Bench of Baltimore City and
each candidate for nomination for Judge of the Court of
Appeals of Maryland from the Fourth Appellate Judicial
Circuit shall file his certificate with the Board of Super-
visors of Elections of Baltimore City within the time pre-
scribed by Section 53 of this Article, and pay the filing fee
prescribed by said Section.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1949.

CHAPTER 254

(Senate Bill 330)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tions 3 and 4 of Article 80 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition) as amended by Chapter 418
of the Acts of 1945, title "Reporter—State. "

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 3 and 4 of Article 80 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1939 Edition) as amended by Chapter 418
of the Acts of 1945, title "Reporter—State", be and the
same are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

3. The State Reporter shall, on or about the third
Wednesday of April in the year 1949, advertise in three
newspapers published in this State, once a week, for
four successive weeks, that sealed proposals will be
received at his office in the City of Annapolis, on the
first Wednesday in June in the year 1949, for the publi-,
cation of reports of the decisions of the Court of Appeals
of Maryland for the term of not less than three nor more
than five years beginning on said named date according
to the terms of the contract hereinafter set forth. He shall
similarly advertise for sealed proposals in the month of
April in any year in which the contract for such publica-
tion shall expire. The contract, which shall be prepared by
the Attorney General and approved by the Chief Judge of
the Court of Appeals, shall be awarded to such person or
persons or corporation as shall agree to print and publish
all said reports on terms most advantageous to the public;
and the contract shall embody the following provisions:
