the fine so imposed, shall stand committed to jail until the
fine and costs have been paid, but such imprisonment shall
not exceed sixty (60) days for any one offense and in addition
to such fine or fines all spotlights, artificial lights, or battery
or other contrivance or devices to spot or locate or hunt for
said game, and all firearms found in or on such vehicles or
in possession of such persons so convicted, or used in violation
of the provisions of this section, shall be confiscated and shall
be disposed of by the Director, as he may deem advisable for
the best interest of the State.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

CHAPTER 202
(Senate Bill 60)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
2 of Article 99 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), title "Birds, Game and Inland Water Fish, "
sub-title "Definitions, " and Section 64(b) of said Article,
sub-title "Beavers, Muskrat and Otter, " to change said
sub-title to "Fur Bearers, " and to add two new sections
to said Article, to be known as Sections 64A and 64B, to
follow immediately after Section 64, relating to definitions,
providing for licenses for fur dealers, taxidermists and
fur tanners and relating to the possession, transportation,
sale or purchase of certain furs.
SECTION 1. Be it-enacted 'by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 2 of Article 99 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Birds, Game and In-
land Water Fish, " sub-title "Definitions, " be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
2. Whenever used in this Article, unless a contrary inten-
tion is evident from the context, the word "person" shall in-
clude individuals, co-partnerships, associations, and corpora-
tions; the singular shall include the plural, and the mascu-
line, the feminine and neuter.
The term "game birds" shall include: (a) the anatidae,
commonly known as swan, geese, brant, river and sea ducks;
(b) the pygopodes, commonly known as loons and grebes
