MISCELLANEOUS APPROPRIATIONS No. 3

The following appropriation is made from the General Funds of
the State:

For the payment of rent of offices occupied by State
Departments, Boards, and Commissions in Baltimore
City, subject to the control of the Board of Public
Works and upon the recommendation of the Direc-
tor of the Department of Budget and Procurement,
as provided by Chapter 64 of the Acts of 1939...... $255,000.00

The amount of $255,000.00 includes appropriations to the State Department
of Health in the amount of $18,800.00 and to the State Department of Public
Welfare in the amount of $17,500.00.

MISCELLANEOUS APPROPRIATIONS No. 4

The following appropriations are made from the General Funds of the
State to become available immediately upon the passage of this budget
to supplement appropriations for the fiscal year 1949 or to provide
funds for the payment of obligations for which appropriations are not
already available:

1 For deficiency in salaries of members of the Legisla-
ture for the fiscal year 1949....................... $ 60,800.00

2 For deficiency in the appropriation for printing for

the Legislature for the fiscal year 1949............ 40,000.00

3 For deficiency in scholarships and partial scholar-
ships for Negroes for the fiscal year 1949.......... 40,000.00

4 For deficiency in the appropriation to St. Mary's In-
dustrial School for the fiscal year 1948............ 9,988.00

5 For deficiency in the appropriation to St. Mary's In-
dustrial School for the fiscal year 1949............ 36,000.00

6 For deficiency in the appropriation for payment of
rent of offices occupied by State Departments,
