The following appropriations are made from the General Funds of
the State:

1 For Maryland's Assessment for Annual Expenses of

the Conference of the Governors of the Country.... $ 250.00

2 To Commissions created for the purpose of surveys,

to be spent under the direction of the Governor.... 17,500.00

3 To the Council of State Governments and other na-
tional organizations for expenses in connection with
the participation of the State in the activities of
those organizations .............................. 6,000.00

4 For publishing Constitutional Amendments, to be

spent under the direction of the Governor......... 15,000.00

5 To the State Department of Health for the control of
Epidemic and Pestilential Diseases, to be spent
under the direction of the Governor............... 10,000.00

6 To the Governor's Commission on Problems affecting

the Negro Population............................. 8,000.00

7 Automobile for the Governor........................ 5,000.00

8 For printing of Maryland Reports................... 2,000.00

9 The Annapolis Fire Department..................... 2,000.00

10 The Annapolis Sewerage Plant...................... 2,500.00

11 To City of Annapolis for garbage collection, etc., as

provided by Chapter 570 of the Acts of 1939........ 2,000.00

12 For the Maryland Development Bureau, to be spent
subject to the approval of the Board of Public
Works ........................................... 7,500.00

13 Maryland Tercentenary Memorial Commission....... 900.00

14 To the Maryland State Firemen's Association for dis-
abled and injured firemen, in accordance with
Chapter 260 of the Acts of 1935.................... 20,000.00

15 For scholarships and partial scholarships for Negroes,
to be spent subject to the approval of the Board of
Public Works upon recommendation of the Board
of Trustees of Morgan State College.............. 100,000.00

16 Bureau of Harbors. To the Mayor and City Council
of Baltimore City, the actual amount to be one-half
of the cost of operating the iceboat "Annapolis",
but not to exceed the amount named herein........ 35,000.00

17 To the War Memorial Commission. The actual
amount to be one-half the cost of maintenance in
connection with the War Memorial Building but not
to exceed the amount named herein............... 10,500.00

18 To the Supreme Bench of Baltimore City for the use
of the Probation Department on account of the cost
