In addition to the State Appropriation of $5, 708, 585. 00 from General Funds
for the fiscal year 1950, it is estimated that the University of Maryland will
receive from student fees, fees from patients at the University Hospital
and Dental Clinic and other miscellaneous sources, the sum of $7, 436, 555. 00
in the fiscal year 1950, to be expended under the direction of the Board of
Regents in accordance with the detailed working budget of the University of
Maryland, to be submitted to the Board of Public Works for its approval,
which sum is hereby appropriated from the Special Funds of the State. It is
the intention that Special Funds in excess of the amount hereby appro-
priated shall be made available to the University of Maryland by approved
budget amendment.
