"Ordinary Taxes. What Shall Be Taxed and Where",
exempting certain motor vehicles from taxation as personal
property, to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tions 29 (a), 74 (a) and 76 of Article 66 1/2 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Motor Ve-
hicles", sub-title "Administration—Registration—Titling",
relating to registration fees of motor vehicles and special
charges or fees and refunds, and to repeal Sections 27B,
277, 278, 279, 280 and 281 of Article 66 1/22 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Motor Ve-
hicles", sub-title "Administration—Registration—Titling".

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 7(32) of Article 81 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Revenue and Taxes",
sub-title, "Ordinary Taxes. What Shall Be Taxed and Where",
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:

7.

(32) Motor Vehicles, Classes A to J, inclusive.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Sections 29 (a),
74 (a) and 76 of Article 66 1/2 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1947 Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title
"Administration — Registration — Titling", be and they are
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and all to
read as follows::

29. (Expiration of Registration. ) (a) Every Class A and
Class D vehicle registration under this Article and every
registration card and registration plate for said Classes issued
hereunder shall expire at midnight on the thirty-first day of
March of the registration year for which issued, and the
registration of all other Classes of motor vehicles and the
registration cards and plates for same issued hereunder shall
expire at midnight on the thirtieth day of April of the regis-
tration year for which issued.

74. (Registration Fees. ) (a) (1) Except as provided in
Sub-section (2) of this section, the following registration
fees shall be paid in advance to the Department for the
registration plates and certificates of registrations issued by
it for the designated classes in accordance with the provisions
of this Article.

(Class A. Pneumatic Tires. ) A fee of $15. 00 each for all
passenger cars, including station wagons having a manufac-
turer's shipping weight up to and including 3700 lbs. and a
