(House Bill 151)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-section
(g) of Section 8 of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages"?
sub-title "Beer Licenses", and to add a new sub-section to
said Section 8, said new sub-section to be known as Sub-
section (d-1) and to follow immediately after Sub-section
(d) thereof, relating to club licenses for the sale of beer
in Caroline County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sub-section (g) of Section 8 of Article 2B of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Alco-
holic Beverages", sub-title "Beer Licenses", be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and that a
new sub-section be and it is hereby added to said Section 8,
said new sub-section to be known as Sub-section (d-1), to
follow immediately after Sub-section (d) thereof, and all to
read as follows:

(d-1) (Caroline County). In Caroline County the annual
fee for such a license shall be One Hundred Dollars (f 100. 00).

(g) (Exceptions. ) This section shall not apply to Balti-
more City, nor to Baltimore, Charles, Garrett, Harford,
Howard, Kent, St. Mary's and Somerset Counties, in all of
which jurisdictions such licenses shall not be issued. "

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.
