CHAPTER 130
(House Bill 46)
AN ACT to repeal Sub-section (h) of Section 5 of Article 95A
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement),
title "Unemployment Compensation", sub-title "Disqualifi-
cation for Benefits", said sub-section relating to the benefits
for an individual receiving a pension, annuity or retire-
ment pay.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sub-section (h) of Section 5 of Article 95A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Un-
employment Compensation", sub-title "Disqualification for
Benefits", be and it is hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all of the members elected to each of the two Houses
of the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 131
(House Bill 68)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 32
of the Article 65 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), title "Militia", authorizing the payment of
allowances to certain officers and enlisted men of the Mary-
land National Guard.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 32 of Article 65 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Militia", be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
32. The provisions of this section shall apply when the
Organized Militia, or any part thereof, shall be ordered out
for active duty or training by the Governor, or by his author-
ity; but shall not apply to the Organized Militia or any part
thereof, which has been ordered to duty incident to a call or
order into the active military service of the United States.
