CHAPTER 118

(Senate Bill 294)

AN ACT to authorize the Mayor and Council of Easton,
a municipal corporation of the State of Maryland, to
close a public way or thoroughfare within its corporate
limits, known as Track Alley.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Mayor and Council of Easton. a municipal cor-
poration of the State of Maryland, be and it is hereby
authorized to close as a public thoroughfare, the way or
street within the corporate limits of said Town, known
as Track Alley in the area particularly described as
follows:

Beginning at a concrete monument on the westerly line
of Yard Lane, North eighty-seven degrees (87°) three
minutes (3') West, one hundred sixty-five and forty-
three feet (165. 43') to a concrete monument on the east-
erly side of Aurora Street; thence South five degrees (5°)
two minutes (02') West, ten feet (10') to a point on the
easterly side of Aurora Street; thence South eighty seven
degrees (87°) three minutes (3') East, one hundred sixty-
five and four feet (165. 4') to the Westerly side of Yard
Lane; thence with the Westerly side line of Yard Lane
North five degrees (5°) two minutes (02') East, ten
feet (10') to the point of beginning.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That said closing
shall not be subject to the limitations of Section 162
of Article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws and is
authorized without the assent of a majority of the legal
voters of the Town expressed by votes cast at a special
election.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1949.
