CHAPTER 621
(House Bill 672)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
23 of Article 26 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Courts", sub-title "Judgments", relating to
judgments rendered in Montgomery and Wicomico Counties.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 23 of Article 26 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Courts", sub-title "Judg-
ments", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
23. Upon all judgments rendered at the second term after
the defendant has been summoned, the defendant shall be
entitled to a stay of execution until the first Thursday of the
ensuing term, with the privilege of superseding the same in
the manner allowed by law at any time within two months
after the expiration of said stay and with the power of
prosecuting an appeal or suing forth a writ of error, as
authorized by law; this section not to apply to judgments
recovered in the courts of Baltimore City, Montgomery, Prince
George's and Wicomico Counties.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

(House Bill 673)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
255 of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Cumulative Supplement), title "Licenses", sub-title "Gaso-
line Tax", providing for the return of aviation gasoline tax
moneys by the Comptroller to retail dealers of aviation gaso-
line operating on airports and landing fields licensed by the
State Aviation Commission.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 255 of Article 56 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1947 Cumulative Supplement), title "Licenses",
sub-title "Gasoline Tax", be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, so as to read as follows:
