in Baltimore City, with the Clerk of the Superior Court of
Baltimore City. Each Clerk of Court shall accurately and
promptly record and index all such notices of lien filed with
him by the Comptroller by entering such lien in the judgment
docket of the Court, stating the name of the delinquent tax-
payer, the amount of the lien and the date thereof. The lien
provided for in this section shall have the full force and
effect of a lien of judgment. Unless another date is specified
by law, the lien arising at the date of non-payment as in this
section specified and provided for, shall continue with the
same force and effect as a judgment lien.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 28
of Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1947 Edition), title "Anne Arundel County", sub-title
"Annapolis", relating to retirement of members of Annap-
olis Fire Department.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 28 of Articled of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1947 Edition), title "Anne Arundel
County", sub-title "Annapolis", be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
28. Any member of the paid Fire Department of the City of
Annapolis may be retired from his department after twenty
years of active service, on a retirement salary of forty per
cent of his last yearly salary, or fifty per cent at the expira-
tion of twenty-five years of active service or sixty per cent
after thirty years or more of active service. If permanently
incapacitated for active duty by accident in line of duty
which accident shall occur in less than twenty-five years of
active service his said retirement shall be fifty per cent of
his salary at the time of his injury. It shall be mandatory
upon the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Annapolis to
appropriate and levy each year a sufficient sum to pay the
pensions herein provided for to all members of the paid Fire
