(1947 Supplement), title "Fish and Fisheries", sub-title
"Black Bass and Pike", relating to the season for catching
Pike in tidal waters.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 75 (a) of Article 39 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Fish and Fisheries",
sub-title "Black Bass and Pike", be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
75. (a) It shall be unlawful to catch pike in any manner
in he tidal waters of the State of Maryland during the period
from March 15 to April 30 in each and every year. It shall
also be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to sell
or offer to sell, purchase or offer to purchase or to have in
possession any pike during said months, whether said fish
be caught in tidal or non-tidal waters within the State of
Maryland, or the waters of any other State and brought
into this State.
SEC. 2. And be> it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
38A of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), title "County Commissioners", sub-title
"County Treasurers", increasing the compensation of the
County Treasurers of Allegany, Baltimore, Cecil, Howard,
Somerset and St. Mary's Counties, eliminating Montgomery
County from the provisions of said section, and correcting
an error.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted "by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 38A of Article 25 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "County Commis-
sioners'", sub-title "County Treasurers", be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
38A. (a) The County Treasurers of the several Counties
of the State shall receive annually the respective salaries here-
