ments", sub-title "Hall of Records Commission'", said new
section to be known as Section 127B, and to follow imme-
diately after Section 127A of said Article, providing for the
disposition of certain photographed records in the State of
Maryland and for the use of such photographs or copies or
enlargements thereof in evidence.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
41 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition and 1947
Supplement), title "Governor—Executive and Administrative
Departments", sub-title "Hall of Records Commission'", said
new section to be known as Section 127B, to follow immedi-
ately after Section 127A of said Article, and to read as
follows:
127B. (a) Whenever any agency, department, board, or
commission of the State of Maryland or of any county or in-
corporated municipality thereof shall have photographed,
photocopied, or microphotographed all or any part of the
records kept by it or under its control in a manner and on film
or paper that complies with the standard of quality approved
for permanent photographic records by the Hall of Records
Commission, and whenever such photographs, photocopies, or
microphotographs shall be placed in adequately accessible con-
tainers and provision made for preserving, examining, and
using the same in a manner approved by the Hall of Records
Commission, the head of such agency, department, board,
or commission may, with the approval of the Archivist of the
Hall of Records under the provisions of Section 127A, of this
sub-title, cause the original records from which the photo-
graphs, photocopies, or microphotographs have been made, or
any part thereof, to be disposed of as the law provides.
(b) Photographs, photocopies, or microphotographs of any
records photographed, photocopied, or microphotographed as
herein provided shall have the same force and effect as the
originals thereof would have had, and shall be treated as
originals for the purpose of their admissibility in evidence.
Certified or authenticated copies of such photographs, photo-
copies, or microphotographs or enlargements thereof shall be
admitted in evidence equally with the original photographs,
photocopies, or microphotographs.
SEC. 2. And T)e it further enacted, That all Acts or parts
of Acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act be and
the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such incon-
sistencies only.
