before mentioned in this section, instituted after June 1,
1945, and involving amounts not exceeding Five Hundred
Dollars.

(e) In addition to the jurisdiction hereinbefore granted
in this section, Trial Magistrates in Baltimore County
shall, after June 1, 1947, have concurrent jurisdiction
with the Circuit Court of Baltimore County in all cases
hereinbefore mentioned in this section, instituted after
June 1, 1947, and involving amounts not exceeding Three
Hundred Dollars nor less than One Hundred Dollars.

100. (Frederick County. ) There shall be five Trial
Magistrates, two of whom shall sit at Frederick and re-
ceive each an annual salary of $3, 000. 00, one of whom
shall sit at Emmitsburg and receive an annual salary of
$900, one of whom shall sit at Thurmont and receive an
annual salary of $900, and one of whom shall sit at Bruns-
wick and receive an annual salary of $1, 320. 00.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public health and
safety and having been passed by a yea and nay vote,
supported by three-fifths of all the members elected to
each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same
shall take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal sub-section (g) of Section 228 of
Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-title "In-
come Tax", relating to personal exemptions allowed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That sub-section (g) of Section 228 of Article 81 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title
"Revenue and Taxes", sub-title "Income Tax", as said sub-
section relates to personal exemptions allowed, be and it
is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1949.
