of Health may receive and expend grants in aid and
other Federal funds.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 43
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Health, " sub-title "State Board of Health, " said new sec-
tion to be known as Section 13A and to follow immediately
after Section 13 of said Article, and to read as follows:
13A. The State Board of Health is hereby authorized
to receive and expend grants in aid by the Federal govern-
ment or any department or agency thereof and any other
Federal funds made available to it for use in the carrying
out of the powers and duties confided to it by this Article
from time to time and to expend the same, in accordance
with the laws of the United States and any rules and regu-
lations promulgated pursuant to such laws.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1945.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
117 of Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Allegany County, " sub-
title "County Treasurer and Taxes, " as amended by
Chapter 407 of the Acts of 1943, relating to the com-
pensation of tax collectors for Allegany County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 117 of Article 1 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Allegany County, "
sub-title "County Treasurer and Taxes, " as amended by
Chapter 407 of the Acts of 1943, be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
117. The Tax Collectors for each of said Collection
Districts shall have been bona fide residents of the several
Election Districts for which they shall have been appointed
for at least five years before their appointment, and shall
