executor or administrator; and this Section shall be applic-
able whether the trust be created or the appointment made
prior or subsequent to the effective date of this Section;
and for the purpose of this Section the term "corporate
securities" shall include, but not by way of limitation,
stocks, bonds, debentures, notes, voting trust certificates,
equipment trust certificates, certificates of deposit, certifi-
cates of participation, certificates of beneficial interest,
stock rights, stock warrants issued by or in connection
with any corporation, joint stock association or similar
organization and any other instruments evidencing rights
of a similar character.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 766.

(Senate Bill 379)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 89B of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1943 Supplement), title "State
Roads, " said new section to be known as Section 2B and
to follow immediately after Section 2A of said Article,
relating to the creation of a new unclassified position
to be known as "Highway Maintenance Man".

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
89B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1943 Supple-
ment), title "State Roads, " said new section to be known
as Section 2B and to follow immediately after Section 2A
of said Article, and to read as follows:

2B. Any person who for a period of two years has been
employed continuously (including any period during which
he was not so employed due to no fault of his own) by the
State Roads Commission as a maintenance man, or on road-
side beautification work, may apply to said Commission for
classification as a Highway Maintenance man.

If the applicant satisfies said Commission (1) that he
has been continuously employed in maintaining State
roads and/or County roads, or on roadside beautifi-
cation work, under State supervision during the preced-
ing two years (including any period during which
