Supplement), title "Justices of the Peace", sub-title "Trial
Magistrate System", as enacted by Chapter 251 of the Acts
of 1943, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
100.
(Anne Arundel County. ) There shall be three Trial
Magistrates, one of whom shall sit in Annapolis and re-
ceive an annual salary of $3, 000. 00; one of whom shall sit
in Ferndale and receive an annual salary of $2, 500. 00;
and one of whom shall sit in Galesville and receive an
annual salary of $1, 500. 00.
The Trial Magistrate at Annapolis shall sit on Mondays
from 10 A. M. to 3 P. M. and from 7 P. M. to 9 P. M.,
Wednesdays from 11 A. M. to 12 noon, Tuesdays, Thurs-
days, and Fridays from 1. 0 A. M. to 4 P. M., and on Satur-
days from 10 A. M. to 12 o'clock noon, each day.
The Trial Magistrate at Ferndale shall sit on Mondays
and Thursdays from 10 A. M. to 4 P. M., on Wednesdays
from 11 A. M. to 4 P. M., on Saturdays from 10 A. M. to
12 o'clock noon, and on Tuesdays and Fridays from 7 P. M.
to 9 P. M., each day.
The Trial Magistrate at Galesville shall sit on Mondays
and Fridays from 10 A. M. to 12 o'clock noon, on Tues-
days, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7 P. M. to 9 P. M.,
and on Saturdays from 11 A. M. to 12 o'clock noon, each
day.
SEC. 2. And be is further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1945.

AN ACT to create a Commission to investigate the entire
subject of higher education in Maryland.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Governor of Maryland be and he is hereby author-
ized to appoint a Commission of nine (9) members, which
shall be known as the "Maryland Commission on Higher
Education". The members of said Commission shall serve
without compensation but shall be reimbursed for neces-
sary traveling or other expenses incurred in attending
